Terms & cancellation

Agreement

By registering for a Shell & Sole Camino Tours expedition, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and the liability waiver provided at booking.

Deposits & payments

• Holding deposit ($50): Reserves your place; applied toward your total trip cost
• Non-refundable deposit ($325–375): Due on the date listed for your trip; confirms your spot
• Final balance: Due on the date listed on your trip page before departure
• Trips may require a minimum number of participants to operate; if we cancel for low enrollment, deposits are refunded

Cancellation by participant

• More than 90 days before departure: forfeit non-refundable deposit; remaining balance refunded if already paid
• 60–90 days before departure: 50% of total trip cost forfeited
• Less than 60 days before departure: 100% of total trip cost forfeited
• No-shows and unused services are non-refundable

We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance to protect against illness, injury, or family emergencies.

Cancellation by Shell & Sole

If we must cancel a departure (weather, safety, low enrollment, or force majeure), you receive a full refund of amounts paid to us, or the option to transfer to another date if available.

Changes to itinerary

We reserve the right to adjust hotels, routes, or transport for safety, weather, or local conditions. Substitutions will be of comparable quality. Significant changes will be communicated promptly.

Health & fitness

You confirm you are physically able to complete the walking program for your chosen trip, or will communicate limitations in advance so we can support you. We are not medical providers; bring necessary medications and travel insurance.

Liability

Walking pilgrimages involve inherent risks including uneven terrain, weather, and remote areas. You will sign a waiver acknowledging these risks before your non-refundable deposit is processed.
